Renting a car is easy these days with most transactions being made online. But do you sometimes get stuck because you don’t know all the vocabulary? And are yo uneasy when you have to phone with a question? Here are the main facts, the most important phrases and the key vocabulary for the next time you need to phone and askabout renting a vehicle.
We talk about renting or hiring a car in English. The companies are car hire or car rental firms.
So you can say either “I’d like to rent a car ,” or “I’d like to hire a car.” The car is the rental car or the hire car.
