Im Englischen bilden Sie den Plural normalerweise, indem Sie ein -s an das Hauptwort anhängen. Nur gibt es einige Ausnahmen. Wie viele kennen Sie?

1) French fries are made from potatos.
2) There are the same number of men and woman in my company.
3) Most secretarys have interesting jobs.
4) How many peoples work in your office?
5) We need some new knifes and forks.
6) Have you seen my scissors? I need them.
7) You’ve broken your glasses. What did you do with it?

Answers:
1) potatoes; 2) women; 3) secretaries; 4) people; 5) knives; 6) correct; 7) with them.

So einfach entscheiden Sie, ob Sie die englische Mehrzahl mit -s oder anders bilden

The plural of a noun is usually -s (trees, dogs, computers).

Words ending on -s / -sh / -ch/ -x add  -es (buses, dishes, switches, faxes).

Words ending on -o take -es (potatoes, tomatoes).

Words ending on -y are formed -ies (secretaries, ladies).

But -ay / -ey / and -oy add an -s (days, monkeys, boys).

Words ending on -f or -fe take -ves (knives, wives, lives).

Some words are always plural (scissors, glasses, trousers).

Plural of person

The plural of person is people. If you say “peoples”, it means “Völker”. So if you say “There are some peoples outside my office”, it would mean there were  different groups of nations waiting outside. You have to say: “There are some people waiting outside my office.”
